In this overview, we highlight the diverse range of bin collections and augmentation options integrated into our latest initiatives, emphasising our commitment to streamlining waste management, improving efficiency, and promoting sustainable practices across various environments.

Designed by LatStudios, The Social Quarter is a vibrant new terrace at Chadstone Shopping Centre, blending indoor and outdoor spaces to create a unique urban oasis in Melbourne. The new space extends an existing outdoor terrace, seamlessly transitioning between environments to offer a dynamic, year-round destination.

Our minimalist Fremantle bins were selected for the project, with versions featuring a hood for outdoor spaces and a sleek, hoodless design for indoor areas. Finished in a Mangrove Satin powder-coat, Fremantle’s modern, clean aesthetic perfectly complements the space, where nature is heroed throughout the design.

We collaborated with Arete on the $5 million Gandel Gondwana Garden project at the Melbourne Museum, an exciting expansion that introduces an innovative outdoor gallery for children. This new space seamlessly connects the recently opened Triceratops: Fate of the Dinosaurs exhibit while also bringing to life First Peoples’ stories of Creation, offering a rich and immersive educational experience.

As part of the project, our Double and Single Bondi Bins were selected for their sleek, compact design, featuring curved corners, cut-out patterns, and a hood. These versatile bins not only provide efficient waste management but also complement the space’s immersive theme, enhancing the aesthetic of prehistoric animals and plant life throughout the outdoor environment.

Pentridge Piazza

Designed by Aspect Studios, Pentridge Piazza in Coburg plays a pivotal role in the transformation of the historic Pentridge Prison, giving the site a vibrant new identity. The revitalised space now includes a museum, shopping centre, residential towers, a hotel, and expansive outdoor areas for visitors to explore and enjoy.

Botton + Gardiner was engaged to provide waste solutions on a large scale for this redevelopment. Our Double Bondi Bins were chosen to complement the projects mix of modern and historical design elements. Placed throughout both indoor and outdoor public spaces, the bins—finished in hardwood and powdercoat—were carefully selected to harmonise with the natural materials and stonework of the original bluestone building.

This project earned the 2022 AILA Victoria Landscape Architecture Award for Civic Landscape.

In partnership with the City of Port Phillip, we introduced augmented Bondi Bins at the bustling South Melbourne Market to enhance waste management. These custom-designed bins were created to replace the existing ones, with a significant quantity ordered to better meet the Market's high-volume needs.

The solution featured custom Bondi Bins, with the client providing impactful vinyl wraps and wall murals that effectively guide waste stream segregation. Additionally, a specialised version of the bin was developed to include a grill for collecting and recycling oyster shells, further contributing to the Market's sustainability efforts.
